Carpooling and taking the bus helps you cut down on your mileage and it also helps you cut down on other expenses such as gas and car repairs. Another way to keep your mileage low is to simply stay at home and make all of your errand runs at one time and, if possible, at one place. I make this easier for myself by making a list of what I need before I go out, so that I can know if I can get everything at one store.
