This video is about a guy who had some problems with his car insurance claim, something that happens way more often than you’d think. However, the one main car insurance complaint about claims that people have is nothing to do with an unmatched paint job–it comes when the car insurance company makes problems and refuses to fix them, or when they refuse to give a person the fair amount for a claim settlement, even though there is enough evidence to show that this person is entitled to that very amount.
Whenever you have a car insurance complaint, the first thing that you have to do is go through the appropriate preliminary channels to fix it within the company. This is usually done by sending the company all of the documentation that shows why you should get a certain amount for your claim instead of what they are offering you. If that doesn’t work, then it might be time to bring an attorney in. Usually, that’s the last thing that you need to do, and the attorney can argue your case with the adjuster and negotiate you up to a fair price.
However, sometimes even that does not work. In some cases, the car insurance company will prove obstinate in giving you a fair settlement or fixing your problem. In such a case, you have to make a car insurance complaint to your state’s department of insurance. Once you have done so, they will request the documentation to back up your complaint. If you seem to have a valid case, then the department of insurance will then take up the problem with the car insurance company.
