I think that a lot of people make the mistake that the best car insurance company will have the highest prices, and therefore they should go with the costliest car insurance quote if they want to have the most protection for their money. However, this is because they are misled by the fact that most products that are too cheap are often so because they lack quality, and the same goes with services.

The problem, though, is that people mix up something being too cheap with it being a great deal. It is very true that if something seems too good to be true concerning the price, then it might not be of good quality, but this is why you should seek the middle ground before committing to over priced car insurance services, when you can get with the best car insurance company for much less.

Before you avoid a car insurance company that has a seemingly good price, you should check its quality. First of all, you need to get into contact with your state’s department of insurance. They have a directory of all of the car insurance companies that are licensed and regulated by the state. If your car insurance company is not on this list, then guess what? That insurance card you have does not mean anything, no matter how much you pay for it every month.

You can also get information from your state’s department of insurance concerning the level and volume of complaints filed about that company. Knowing how much it is complained about can give you a good idea as to how the customer service is and how well they handle car insurance claims.
